On June 28, the first Chinas standard subway train made by CRRC successfully rolled off the assembly line in Zhengzhou, marking Chinas major innovation breakthrough in the field of subway vehicle technology. More than 300 leaders and guests from over 120 units ( the National Development and Reform Commission, Henan Provincial Government, Zhengzhou City, Xuchang City and other relevant departments, China Urban Rail Transit Association, CRRC, Zhengzhou Metro, Xuchang Construction Investment, and related domestic subway companies, scientific research institutes, universities and parts companies. ) attended the offline ceremony. As the research and development unit of high-end bearings for serialized Chinas standard subway trains, C&U was invited to attend the off-line ceremony.

 

In recent years, Chinas rail transit industry has achieved rapid development, with huge market scale and development prospects. However, the high-end bearings of advanced rail transit equipment still rely on imports, which has become a key component that restricts the sustainable and healthy development of Chinas rail transit industry. In order to change this situation, and improve the technical level and core competitiveness of urban rail equipment, starting from July 2019, CRRC has joined forces with the China Urban Rail Transit Association, various subway companies, scientific research institutions and cooperative units. implemented a series of Chinas standard subway train development and test projects.

 

As a research unit for the serialization of high-end bearings for Chinas standard subway trains, C&U comprehensively carried out design, simulation analysis, testing, as well as key technical breakthroughs such as bearing rings, rolling elements, cages, seals, special materials, special heat treatment, and special processes.Until now, C&U has completed the development and testing of axle box bearings, gearbox bearings, traction motor bearings, cooling fan bearings and other series of bearings, and made an application contribution to the development of the first China’s standard subway train.

 

During the event, Cai Ronghua, Deputy Director of the Industry Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, Song Minhua, Vice Chairman of China Urban Rail Association, and Ma Yunshuang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CRRC Party Committee and Vice President of China Railway Vehicles, etc., communicated with C&U at the scene.

 

According to reports, Chinas standard subway trains are guided by Chinese standards, adopt standardized, modular, and serialized design concepts, and have completely independent intellectual property rights. It will promote further improvement of Chinas subway vehicle standard system and provide important equipment support in achieving sustainable development of high-quality urban rail transit and the "transportation power" strategy.
