On October 29th, a delegation from the "Training Program for Officials from Machinery Industry Administration Departments under the Global Development Initiative," hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Jilin University, visited C&U for an exchange visit. The delegation included 25 officials representing the machinery industry management sector from seven countries, including South Africa, Nepal, Ethiopia, and Nigeria, along with three faculty members and students from Jilin University. They toured the C&U Shanghai Park, where park leaders and heads of relevant departments and enterprises warmly welcomed the visitors from abroad.
At the symposium, Thomas Jiang, General Manager of Shanghai C&U, warmly welcomed the participants of the training program. With over 30 years of experience in the bearing industry, C&U has recently accelerated its efforts in technological innovation, achieving significant breakthroughs in bearings for major equipment. The two sides actively exchanged views on product development and applications. The participants expressed great interest in C&U’s cutting-edge research and development in the bearing sector and showed a strong desire for future cooperation and exchanges. Mr. Jiang, on behalf of C&U, expressed gratitude for the recognition and emphasized the importance of the training program as a platform for mutual learning and collaboration.
A representative from Jilin University, the hosting institution, expressed appreciation to C&U for its strong support in facilitating this visit and exchange event. He highlighted that, as a leading Chinese bearing manufacturer and one of the worlds top ten bearing companies, C&U has a wealth of technological expertise and resources. The aim of the event was to foster a collaborative bridge between both parties, enhance dialogue and exchanges, jointly explore the development and application of mechanical engineering technologies across different countries, and work together towards a mutually beneficial outcome.
The participants of the training program toured the tapered roller bearing factory, cylindrical roller bearing factory, and the groups technology center. On the production floor, they observed the entire process, including machining, precision grinding, inspection, assembly, and packaging, all seamlessly integrated into an efficient and intelligent production line. During their visit to the technology center, they engaged in in-depth discussions with technical staff, exploring topics related to technological innovation, ongoing research projects, and the commercialization of research results.
In today’s globalized world, the exchange and integration of knowledge are key drivers of industry advancement. Amid the wave of globalization, C&U has consistently embraced challenges with an open mindset and a spirit of innovation, paving the way for the future. This meaningful exchange marks a step forward for C&U as it collaborates with partners around the world, contributing expertise and strength towards the high-quality development of the machinery industry.
